Hello friends! I wanted to stop in and say howdy to all my pals. Hope you are all having a wonderful holiday weekend.
Jackson is doing great....he was at the doggy doctors last week, the Dr. thinks he is eight or nine months old. Tomorrow he goes to have his baby making parts taken away.
Boogie and I love him! We all like to sleep curled up together (around Mommy, if possible!) That will be nice this winter when it is cold!!!
Jackson had two kinds of worms (that's just disgusting) so Mommy had to give him pills to get rid of them.
He will not go potty in our fenced in yard though....Mommy has to take him out on a leash outside of the fenced in area! Mommy says that's OK now, cause she is getting good exercise, but she is hoping he learns to go out on his own (through the doggy door) before winter! He has only made two little accidents in the house...Mommy thinks that's pretty good for being the neglected puppy he was!

Hello Everyone! We finally had a chance to get on the computer....things have been crazy at our house and this week things got even crazier!
Mommy was at her office sitting at her desk when this lady came in with a doggie and said someone told her that Mommy would take care of him and that she could not keep him any more....and she left him with her. Mommy made a couple phone calls, but could not find a home for the little guy who was covered in fleas. She had to give him a bath at the office before she could bring him home to us, cause we do not have bugs!
So,
meet our newest addition....Jackson.
Jackson is a Doxie mix. The lady said six months old, but Mommy thinks he's older.
This is his fifth home, he has never had shots or seen a doggie doctor.
And just listen to the excuses for giving him up....."He jumps up on my two year old...when he gets excited, he pees all over himself...my kids are too lazy to take him out to potty....he's got too much energy". DUH! He is a puppy after all. What were they thinking when they got him?
Well Jackson who was Blackie until Mommy got him, has been with us four days now. And guess what, he doesn't jump up on us, he's been the perfect gentleman and loves to sit on Mommy and Daddy's laps. He has not peed on himself one time since he's been here. Mommy and Daddy are not too lazy to take him outside and we also have a doggy door with fenced in yard. And Mommy, Daddy, Boogie and I just love his puppy energy!
He is the funniest little fellow and Boogie loves running with him! Mommy has never had a Dachshund before and she's getting a kick out of him!
Well that' s enough for tonight..I want to get a good spot on the bed, it's harder now more than ever. I'll be back soon to tell you more about our adventures.

HELLO FRIENDS! I have missed you all so much! That mommy of mine has just been so busy, and she still insists that I not get on the puter without her! I think she underestimates this little chichi!
We are enjoying beautiful weather here in Central PA. We had a very rainy June, but for the most part July has been beautiful....low humidity, and cool at night. The only problem is that our pool water has been on the chilly side.
Boogie has been spending a lot of time in his new chair. Mommy had problems with him wanting to lay on top of her, when she sat by the pool. So he has his very own poolside reclining chair. (Tell me we are not spoiled puppy doggies!) When Mommy is in the pool, he swims, but when she is on her chair, Boo is right beside her!
We haven't got any photos of that yet, but here a couple recent photos.
In the above photo, I am stealing Boogie's bird from him, only problem is...I can't see where I'm taking him!

This was my newspaper column for last week's paper. Wanted to share it with all my friends!
Happy Father's Day All!
Dog Blog, June 17
This coming Sunday is Father’s Day. I just want to tell you all that I have the most wonderful Daddy in the whole entire world.
Our favorite thing to do together is cuddle and watch the TV . Daddy is amazing, he can watch the TV with his eyes closed!
Our next favorite thing to do together is have a snack. Our favorite snack is popcorn. We have to be careful though, cause Mommy doesn’t like us furbabies to have a lot of what she calls junk foods.
Sometimes Daddy takes me along for rides with him. I especially like to go with him in the big bus. If I am lucky he will stop at the market in Mexico and buy me a treat!
I even enjoy it when Daddy just takes me out in the yard with him. Mommy loves to watch me following my daddy. Many times he will stop and look around for me thinking that I am lost, and I am right at his feet. I follow him so closely that he can’t see me.
Not only is my daddy just an all around fun and lovable guy, he tastes good too! I love to lick Daddy. Yes, I am a licker! I lick to fall asleep, I lick when I am scared, I lick when I am happy...well you get the picture. But I especially like to lick Daddy! My favorite spot to lick him used to be on top of his head. For a while he shaved his head, and I just loved to lick there! But I can’t convince him to shave his head now, so I am stuck with his feet!
A funny thing about this licking business...I tried to teach Boogie how to lick properly. He gets his tongue against Daddy’s skin, takes one good swipe...and falls asleep with his tongue plastered to Daddy! What a sight that is. Just goes to show you that licking is indeed a talent!
Anyhow back to Daddy. He loves all of his furbabies and we can tell. When Daddy goes away, as he sometimes has to, he almost always calls home and talks to us on the phone. When I hear his voice, I get so excited!
When Daddy goes to make his music, it usually takes a day before I come away from the window. I sit at the big window in the front of the house and watch and watch. If he is gone for more than one night, I drive Mommy crazy. I sleep with one ear to the driveway and if I hear anything that remotely sounds like the big bus coming, I’m off that bed in a flash. Mommy says when Daddy is away, she gets no sleep at all!
I am so very lucky to have found a good Daddy. There are so many creatures out there that are not so lucky. Sometimes I am bad, but I know Daddy will love me unconditionally. He would never ever give me up. Daddy says Doggies are forever!
So to my Daddy and all the other Dads to either humans or critters...Have a wonderful Father’s Day.
My thought for the week: "In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog."

Well...I'm am beginning to think that we are not going to have summer this year! It is raining again for the past couple days and today it is COLD. It did not get above 60. The weather is taking it's toll on our outside time and especially our swim time.
Boogie has another ear infection. Mommy says she has never had a doggie get so many ear infections. Even her Cocker Spaniels (she had two of these long eared dogs!) did not get so many and they are famous for ear infections.
When this happened before, the doggie doctor told Mommy she did such a good job at cleaning his ears and taking care of him that she gave her extra meds in case it happened again. So she has been cleaning his ears a couple times a day and putting medicine in them. If he is not better until tomorrow he will have to go to his doggie doctor. He is running a slight temperature and his one ear is terrible looking and it smells really bad. I know it must hurt, but I have never had this problem.
So it is probably a good thing that it is too cold to swim now, or he would be begging to get in the water and Mommy would not allow it.
Well, I am gonna go watch Mommy clean the big guys ears again. Until next time: big slobbers to you all.
